Designed by RKS, the Mimique is a concept based on new modern touch screen capibility and old school cell phone design. The system operates via new Operating System (OS) called Android. Android, unlike say Apple’s OS, allows you to use different programs from different sources. I do admire the playfulness of the phone, as well as, it’s simplicity in design. It’s fun. If I wasn’t so attached to my Blackberry Crackberry for work, this would be the phone I would like to have. This is also something to consider for my daughter. No word yet on cost or availability. But with the new T-Mobile G1. I am sure the launch date is coming soon. You can find out more about the Mimique here.

Found this throughApartment Therapya while back. I had no idea that the Eames’ did speakers too. The Quadraflex was designed in 1956 for Stephens Trusonic. Obviously, no longer in production. It sold at auction for just over $1000.00. This leads me to believe that there could be more out there at a fairly reasonable price. Now I am having a hard time deciding between this and the Geneva Sound Lab XL Speaker.
